I was born in Morristown, New Jersey in 1971, and moved to Gothenburg, Sweden from 1979-89 where I was so involved in the world of Hip-Hop, mostly in the graffiti arts, but also the dancing and music helped shape me and my existing work today. This cultured experience of my past shows through in my speed, creativity, and my strong work ethic. Like anything good in this world, it can very easily be turned into sin, because I became too involved in criminal acts, parties, and drugs aspects of that culture as a young man. One of the hardest, but best decisions for a single mother was to have her only son leave and live with her Father, so In 1989 I then moved to the Tampa Bay area in Florida where I still live. I eventually went to Ringling College of Art and Design, where I received a BFA in Illustration in 1994, and a minor in Computer Graphics.
I am now an full time artist! Here is a breakdown of what some of the things I do: illustrator, caricaturist (live/studio), art-teacher (local/online), comics/cartoonist, fine-artist, portraits (serious/exaggerated), muralist/traditional sign painter, story boards. I am also a personal chef/caterer, and entertainment organizer, with caricature artist(s), large fast live painting shows “Art-Tainment”, music, DJs, face & body painters, street dancers, acrobats, fire-eaters, uni-cyclists, stilt walkers, one-man shows, escape artist, magicians, balloon twisters, clowns, characters, and any other special touches to make your event a success! I now have been in the field over 17 years and my businesses are LarsER “Arts”, LarsER “Teach” and LarsER “Entertainment”. I have a wonderful family – my Wife Debbie, 12 year old Son Sean, and two Golden Retrievers Jack & Jill. I am a born again Christian and I am eternally grateful for ultimate sacrifice of my lord and savior Jesus Christ, and the many talents I have been given! I enjoy in fellowship of “Grace Christian Fellowship” in Largo Florida. My hobbies are movies, music, Apple Computers, social media, networking, drawing, painting and more drawing!
