Here is my brain storm on the class:

Name: “Start your week out learning Art-Tainment (Caricatures) with Lars”
Short Description:

Week 1: First thing I will be all set up for a retail style Caricature booth with display and all. I would then draw a demonstration off a photo reference received from other fellow artist. I will have the drawing recorded and to be projected on a screen projector. They can observe the 5-7 quick Caricature in Black and white, and then another 5- minutes to add the color. I will then ask them to draw each other on the spot, get to know each other, and also so I can see the level of the students. The rest of the day talk history, foundations, and other links to references. Assignment is to do a value chart, draw shapes with shading in a medium of choice

week2: Have all your own sketch book to take notes, and sketch in to share with teacher. Importance of seeing shapes, squinting, sketching  from a photographs or the fellow student in front of you, critiques will be done with trace over lays by Lars.

week3: Demonstrate Traditional mediums, digital medium Caricatures and tricks in photshop for studio Caricatures. Home work continue to work on studio Caricature off a photo of a famous person or from photos supplied of my choosing. I will also be working a studio piece that you will be able to follow as the students work on there own work. Your final art work will be due at end of the month for grading.
week 4: I will continue to share news about the feild, share personal stories, work on private commissions right in the class that you will be able to along with, ask questions, while following my steps. You will be working on your final assignment in class, followed by me critiquing the Caricature art with a trace over lay or in photoshop showing pointers on how to improve. I encourage all my students to continue to keep me in the loop of your progress even after the class is over, but the further along you take the class with me the more advanced and harder the courses will be!

Creative Life

I have been in the dumps and was very over whelmed by alot of last minute work, but what really cheered me up was this old note I received from Regan Dunnick which was my proffessor in my portfolio class during my senior year at Ringling College of Art and Design. Well is was very motivating, and us artist always need direction.

I just wanted to tell you all how entirely grateful I am to have had the chance to learn from Jason Seiler on schoolism.com and he not just a great artist, father, husband, but he sincerely wants to see his students succeed! Old School Hip-Hop Reunion Illustrations

I am sure most of you know that my history is based out of the Hip-Hop Culture where I became very involved in the culture in Gothenburg Sweden. I lived there with my mother from 1979-1989, and I had to leave the country when I was 18 years old, because I got caught for vandalizing graffiti art, crime, and drugs. My mother freak out and sent me to live with my Father and his new family in Tampabay Area in Florida, USA. I still live here with my wonderful wife of 18 years and my son Sean 13 years Old, and my two goldens Jack and Jill. I am planning on going back to visit Sweden this Summer and looking forward to it. I was commissioned to paint some b-boy type Caricatures of the main Dj’s, Mc’s, Breakers at an up comig re-union event in Gothenburg Sweden on November 23rd.Follow the OlSchoolGbg page on Facebook for more info. Flyer is being put together and will be shared on here soon.

Here is the poster I worked on the Illustrations, it is nice to be recognized by other older friends from my past! If any one is In Sweden Gothenburg on November 23, you will have to go to STORAN “lilla Klubbscenen” from 11pm-3am. Price 100kr=$14.93 only 24 years and older! “Back To The Planet Rock”

Relating To Gustav Klimt

Hello to all my friends, I am sorry I have not posted as much as I should be. I would like to share a another great blog writer and artist Chris Oatley and his experience at a Gustav Klimt exhibit “Gustav Klimt: The Magic Of Line featured a hundred face-meltingly awesome Klimt drawings”. Where he got inspired in Los Angeles California at his favorite art museum!   When Chris got home he turned his notes into an awesome new blog post.

I know you’re gonna love it.

I can really relate to artist Gustav Klimt and his transition from more realistic work to his more symbolistic period. I also feel my work tends to lean in his direction of Symbols, linear, and expression of mood in my own work. Here some of his work! I love the fact he drew all the time!

Even though I have been having some real challenges with this project,  the client Berkley Badger has been a true blessing, he has his certain visions and I believe we have together made what he has envisioned! I have had alot of up and downs as far as feeling thrilled about this project, but know when it is to a point where we are both happy, it is all worth it!. Most of the work has been spent on the crowd, which we went from really hellish type crowd to a more normal somber crowd. Most of the work was also spent in the value underpainting stage, the feet, hands and the crowd was the most time consuming, and then the coloring was added. The client wanted me to find photographs online to paste and use photoshop to paint into it and to make it all work. In traditional Illustration there as been artist using collages pasted in there work to make it a more real artsy look, and I believe that is what we have achieved?  Here is  the two final Illustrations and please make sure to watch the video I made with the vine of truth! I feel truly blessed to have the chance to help glorify God thru my talents! Peace out!
